I've checked both switches and they seem to be in good shape. I wondered if it could be something to do with the alarm system, it clicks on and off and the interior lights blink.

There is a striker/tab (or whatever you call it) that the switch seats against when you close the door. You can try putting a washer under it to raise it up a bit and see if that helps.
I've had the same issue, and the fix worked for me. However, on cold days it will still happen every now and then. I think that ultimately, a new switch is in my near future.
