Hi all,
I have an '87 C4 that has a no crank problem. After driving for a couple of weeks, I parked the coupe and did not start her for a few days. When I attempted to start it up, It would not crank at all. Because the battery was approximately 7 years old , I felt it was time to replace the battery with a MTP-75 Interstate. After completing the install, I turned the key and absolutely NOTHING but a "click". (same as the old battery). Help! I don't have any testing equipment but would appreciate any and all advice. Thanks a lot in advance. PhatChance.
Thanks for the quick response. I'll certainly take your advice when I get back at it in the morning. I'll place a post on the forum with the results. Thanks again.
There seems to be a lot of coincidences with us as I was born In San Antonio, Texas and your Vette looks very similar to mine. (Brite Red) etc. I have a friend who is a car guy from around the Garland, Texas area. I believe he's into earlier model year cars. He's a fun guy but it took me a good week before I could understand him. LOL. Approximately what area in Mt. Prospect did you live? The town has changed very little through the years. It looks like we'll be making a move soon to sunny Florida as we can't stand the cold weather up here. Well, thanks again.

Hi all, as promised, I wish I had something positive to say, but as I took MRPvettes suggestion to jumpstart the car. Sad to say, absolutely the same thing. NO CRANK! I'll keep at it and hopefully I'll find the answer.
Thanks again.
