Default Cleaning engine?

How do you guys clean your engine? By hand or do you shampoo it and hose it off? Is there a good product to use like a degreaser cleaner that you spray on and hose off? Easy and quick I would prefer.

The easiest way I clean my engine is make sure the engine isn't hot, spray it down with simple green degreaser and lighty hose it off but try to avoid electrical components like alternator etc. and after it dries I hand clean anything that didn't come out as clean as id like

A friend of mine frequently cleans his engine by wrapping electrical parts in plastic or aluminum foil, then applying degreaser and blasting away with a high pressure washer. He finishes up with a leaf blower to dry it all off.

^This. Best way to get it done well, and quickly. Even better is a heated power washer (Hotsy).
