typed in my phone number to 1 transport co regarding shipping my vette from s florida to upper michigan....I had so many calls and email since then it's been incredible....most of the carriers are full going south this time of year...empty or only a couple of cars north. They've got lots of business up north right now....easy to get one shipped north...not so easy to get one going south...good luck....think i'm going to buy a car trailer....
Where are you at in Florida? I wound up booking through a broker (Priority Auto Relocations in Boca Raton) on a C4 transport from Chicago to South Florida last December.
The Carrier was Sprint Express Inc, $950 dollars in an enclosed car carrier (Plus minor broker fee), specified top rack to keep oil off my vert's top. They did my pickup in the middle of that horrible ice storm that closed down the mid west. It was about 4 days in transit, same truck, with only a few detours for additional drop-offs and pickups. Decent bunch of guys, satisfied with the service, price, and delivery.

Careful when picking out a transporter. Here is my horror story. I bought a car in Chicago and had it shipped to Az. I prepaid the transport company $975.00 and they said they would pick it up and deliver within 1 week. Well that didn't happen. I asked them for an enclosed trailer and they said none were available however they guaranteed a top middle slot for my car. One week later-no car! Called the transport company and they said that they had just picked it up yesterday and would be coming my way anytime within the next 5 days. 6 days later and no car! Called the transporter again and this time they said the hauler broke down and it would not be fixed for 3 days. 3 days later I called and asked it the hauler was on the road and they said yes and I should have the car within the next 4-5 days. NOT! Transport company said that they shipped it to the wrong town, which is Tucson about 3 hours drive from me. They said if I wanted the car that bad, I could go pick it up. I asked them if I picked it up would they refund part of my money. NO! They had no way to offer a refund. Are you shi**ing me? Finally I got a call from a transporter in Tucson and he said he was heading my way and would deliver the vehicle later on that day. When it got here, it was covered in oil, on a single car hauler and so dirty that I almost lost my temper. Not only that, there were over 20 miles on the odometer more than what the seller had told me. Driver said that the car was out of gas and we had to push it into my garage. I asked him why it was so dirty and covered with oil and he said when you are on the lower level, cars from above may leak. I told him that I paid extra for a top berth and he had no answer for me. He had me sign a note stating I had received the vehicle but failed to do a walk around inspection. He said since he got it here it was mine and that was that. BE CAREFUL WHEN LOOKING FOR A TRANSPORTER!!! Fully check out their credentials and look up any comments you can find about them. I know that at the Barrett-Jackson auction they use Reliable Transport and although they are higher, I think there service is much better and they do haul cars in excess of $1 million dollars in value.

I assume you mean enclosed transport. The two best are Exotic and Reliable, both are expensive. We use Reliable regularily but Exotic is based in Fla so their schedule might fit you better.

We can usually do any route requested. Be sure to contact us for a quote
Need a C4 to Florida from Mich in a couple weeks. I'm looking at transport reviews.com.
An no, Intercity has responded to me that they are not servicing my area.
Last time I shipped a driver called 24hrs ahead to say he couldn't make it for another week or so.....
Recent experiences would be appreciated!
We have several trucks on the route servicing our snow bird customers, this would be easy to help you with. Could you please email me the details of the shipment at sales@angelsmovingautos.com and I will send you over the quote and when we can pick it up.
I'll let you guys know my experiences with Angels moving autos when the Vette is delivered in Florida. It will be picked up before I move (oct 22)
I opted for the enclosed auto carrier.

We currently have several enclosed haulers on that route moving our snowbird customers down to Florida to Michigan. I can guarantee you a 2 car hot shot at a great rate. Please email me at sales@angelsmovingautos with the zip codes for both the locations, the year, make and model of the car, and the 5 day pick up window that will work for you. Once he loads he will be delivering in Michigan within 3-5 days.
Don't be cheap on this .... I paid for a cheaper Transporter once, shipped a Yamaha R1 and the dusche driver scratched the rear seat plastic. I advise pay more and get the best.
I have used Passport and Horseless Carraige several times with outstanding results with both. I have had friends who used Exotic with not the best results. You get what you pay for when transporting cars.
We have a database of independent owner operators that have been shipping for 10+ years with exceptional ratings. We ship for dozens of high end clients using these carriers. Our rates are typically lower then the big trucking companies and we can pick up within the requested time window. Give us a call. 530-245-0481
Predicated upon 1337 miles to Ft Myers, flexible pickup within a 3 week period from a metropolitan location, SE Mich.
Again, Intercity turned me down.
Reliable (enclosed) quoted $1250 if I dropped the car at their terminal in Canton MI.
Pursued a referral from a friend who is a dealer from a local broker who quoted $900 open.
The quotes I received from transportsreviews.com started at $600 something with the average in the upper $800's. My only experience with a broker left me with oil drips down the fenders and later discovered a spot on the hood where something had eaten a eraser sized circle of clearcoat and what appeared to be strap burns under the rocker panels.
Went with Youngs Transport out of Ft Myers/Naples who satisfactorily transported my C5 up three years ago. They had a truck coming in with a spot, leaving within 2 business days, to be stored in FM in their covered facility for a couple weeks until I arrive for the same $900, (open). I was an add on, previous customer, best price they would offer. If I understand correctly, Youngs doesn't broker loads, using employee drivers. Youngs strap the tires down instead of the frame.
Young's is a great carrier, we have worked with them for a decade. We NEVER shipped corvettes on open trucks. If it was my car, I would use Reliable, they are amazing carriers. Be can move it enclosed as well for $1,250.00. Our guy would be a 4 car enclosed. Young's is a great company, Reliable - AMAZING. It is your call. We believe the noses are too long on the front end of a Corvette to get it loaded safely every time on an open truck. When I was at the Texas Invitational last week all the guys said the only ope truck they would ever put their corvette on is their own 1 car hauler. Other then that, they always ship them enclosed.
I just wanted to inform you guys about my experience dealing with Angels moving autos. The driver of the enclosed carrier was punctional and very courteous. He was very reassuring and experienced. His name was Michael. He arrived in Florida with my 2 cars. Absolutely no damage and it was still clean. He had some very expensive autos on it such as a Aston Martin db9 convertible.
Thank you for a job well done. Thank you to Miranda and Dina.
