Mallet C-4
I saw this on Mecum Sunday, I think, it was a Mallet Racing C-4 with 900 horsepower. Beautiful car with a 240 mph top end

That's a "Mallet" and it does 240 mph...The "Sledgehammer" runs 257 mph... I guess in this case it really does pay to pick the bigger hammer...

Callaway Sledgehammer is for Sale....
..This car was for Sale last year and $600,000 wouldn't buy it.....

Rumor has it that it would take a cool $1m to pry it away from its current owner.

I could be wrong, but I recall reading about it selling about 7-8 years ago for $150,000. Hell of an investment.

I've been biting my tongue on this user names posts since he showed up, but since someone else "went there", I'll say it. This user name reeks of "12 Inches"

RE: the Mallet, love to know more details about this car and the motor. Never heard a thing about it "back in the day", unlike the Sledgehammer.

I'm not sure if it sold, the cars at Mecum have a reserve a lot of the time, I think it was about 40,000. Not sure if the auction was Saturday or Sunday, it was the Mecum auction at the Schaumburg, Chicago area
