Ok thats a smart phone. Why did you installed the suction cup?

Is it for the GPS, internet radio apps, or to have it reachable?

Maybe I'm missing something, but don't we all have smart phones now days?

Maybe I don't "get it" b/c I'm "Anti tech". To wit; I traded my C6 in for my C4. I just transferred my cell service from my Galaxy 5s, back to my Droid X. I'm a happier man for it.

Maybe I'm missing the point here but if you dont use it while actually driving but use it while your parked, why is it blocking a large area of your screen? surely if you only use it while parked then why does it need to be in a cradle on the screen?

I think it would be cool to work it into the dash somehow. Maybe replace the radio or diagnostic area with one. Tie it into the computer to show engine conditions too.

Last winter a real technical and electrically capable guy named Jeff who is a friend of mine highlighted his Nexus 7 install into his 90 ZR-1. The winter before, he also had upgraded his 90 interior to the 94-96 interior as well as you can also see in this thread. He also made me a LED CMHSL for my ride many years ago. He did ALL the work himself from bezel modification to the installation. I think it’s pretty slick and if you enjoy projects like this go for it. IMHO it came out very well. Here is an image of the project and the thread is below the image. GC

Wow. I gotta say, that looks really good. With that said, this post reminds me of a song from one of my all time favorite movies:

But not as much as you, you see
But I still love tech-no-lo-gy

I agree. he also highlights in the thread everything it can do. Not a project for the meek but pretty impressive none the less. No reason a C4 cant be in step with some of todays technologies just like Kip lol. GC

Crutchfield sells all components to fit our C4s. In The Ghost I installed the Pioneer FH-X500UI

It's a cheap radio, but have all the today's technology to connect to smart phones, and sat radio.

Terrestrial radio has been dead for about a decade now, and one CD is no longer an option. I have a 32GB USB/memory stick, Sirius, and bluetooth to listen to http://www.streamlicensing.com/stati...dex.html:rock: or Pandora.

Heck no we don't ALL have smart phones. Those are for people who are geniuses, I haven't even learned how to text yet and don't really care to learn. Call me a dummy, but if I want to talk to someone, I call them instead of trying to "thumb my thoughts" to someone.

I seriously considered doing this in my old C6, and then again when I got my C4. I thought it would be really awesome to have my lap timing app right in the car. But I decided against it because you can't currently use a tablet as a Bluetooth handsfree device, which is stupid. and I didn't want to have to add an extra BT handsfree device to make that work.

Still, it's the future. I may do one someday still.

Texting is today's way to communicate. It's quick and to the point.

"On my way; I'll be there in 10, No, call me at 555-555-1369, and selfies"

Selfies are great when you are dating a freak Oh, what would I do without technology.

Not to have a smart phone today is like saying "I don't like fuel injection".

I always use a proclip mount with a ram xmount for my cars but they do not make a proclip for a c4. My next idea is one of the gooseneck mounts that mount on the seat frame bolt with a ram xmount. I'll try that this winter

I havent had a cell phone for 5 years. Only had it before that because the job required and paid for it. Hell, Im not all that friendly anyway. Its not that Im low tech. I can touch three of my computers from where Im sitting and they all have different operating systems.

I did this for a laptop in my '89 BMW 7er. It worked fine, using bronze flex pipe, but was kinda in the way, but the laptop was 11" screen size.

It's best to have any while-driving screen within a narrow scan area.

Many of you are way behind. Don't even look at a C7, you will have a stroke.

No sense of me drooling over a C-7 since I will never be able to afford one. Second thought, if I could afford the 2015 C-7 I don't think I would want one. NOW, if I could have a 63-69 that would be a different story. I would take one of those over a C-7.
