This is a great pic, because it shows three different wheels. I'm thinking that the C4 is a nice clean design and it is great that quite a few wheels seem to go well on it.

There is NO single answer; look at all the attractive setups.
Now adorned with a Shinoda body and black targa section these look even better! I admit this old pic shows rims that need some polish; in 15 minutes they look like chrome.

You are correct. Those wheels look good with the white and black. My car is a red Convertible. I'm really becoming partial to the 5 spoke look.
My 89 came with OS-Racing Fittipaldi wheels. The spokes are clear coated, between the spokes are painted black, and the lips are chrome. I believe they were put on as a dealer promotion as 3 of the 4 previous owners (all but the first owner and she only had the car for a year) said they were already on it. I seem to remember reading that some of the Callaway cars came back with OS-Racing wheels, but not sure of the model. Anyway, my car is not a B2K car so I know that is not the case.
OP: for your car those stock wheels look as good as they come, provided they are in good condition. Stand outside and have someone drive your car and you get the full pic.
Instead, I would shorten the exhaust tips a little.
You're too kind, sir. I dig my '88 but she sat in a barn for nearly 8 years and needs some love. I am in the process of getting her running again and then I'll tackle the bodywork. Cam, valvetrain and timing chain all going in tomorrow and then the L05 will be ready to drop in (the L98 was blown by the prior owner hence it sitting so long). It's a 4+3 car too.
I am very partial to Dark Red Metallic and it has the light grey interior. Nice combination and a bit rare/unusual (by the numbers).
The rims were from a friend of mine. He had them on his '99 TA and when it was wrecked he sold them to me for $70. They really stood out on his white TA and they have grown on me even more once I mounted 'em on the 'vette. I plan on polishing them up once she is back on the road.
Thanks again...I know my C4 looks rough so it was nice to read your comment.
Fikse FM5's are one of my all time favorite wheels for anything. They make any car look like it has 500hp. My other faves for C4s are unfortunately equally as expensive- Dymags, CCWs, BBS type mesh 3 piece, Shelby, Forgeline. I think it depends too on if it is pre or post 91. Deep dish A molds are tough to beat too.
Thanks- I actually like the rears better since they are deep dish or deeper dish anyway; I think it's like a 3 or 4 inch lip.....
I found out about them on the TV series "Gears"; Stacey David was doing a cool project on a 67 Cougar and had these wheels featured (same model as I bought); Schott has several to choose from. What I like is, you choose the offset, width, diameter, etc. to suit your needs.
Whatever happened to that show anyway...????
I don't think I ever saw the final outcome of that Cougar.....
