Just a possible safety issue . . .
I always do I want to make sure they see something coming, but when I turn off the key the chime comes on reminding me the lights are on . I forget what controls the chime but after cleaning alarm and fiddling getting the dash, seat belt chime working it started working.
Even headlights on is no guarantee, i had T boned a car that pulled out from a stop sign he didn't see me coming. Lucky it was a company vehicle that i didn't care less about.
Perhaps "flashing" lights are best

Perhaps I should have put a caveat in my original post that read as follows: "There is not precaution any driver can take that will protect us from STUPID drivers, pedestrians, bicyclists, horse riders, etc." But, it was just a thought that using the fog/driving lamps might give us an edge many times . . . ( ? ).
Now to get out the FSM and find out how to get at the chimes controller, and probably buy a new one.
Thanks for the 'reminder'.

Thanks for the post up. I was so impressed by the led light output of these SMDs that I ordered a pair. They are about 50% cheaper on EBAY although just for the rest of the group. GC
