Default 3 wrenches lost

While troubleshooting a tail light problem I managed to lose 3 (count them) 3, 10mm wrenches that fell down somewhere in the rear bumper and have not found them as yet. Is there anyone out there that may have had the same experience and may have a suggestion as to where I might find them and how I might retrieve them?

Drop the spare tire down and look in the tub.

I would look in the honey comb that absorbs impact from the rear, lots of squares to hold a dropped wrench. If you have an old speaker and it will fit run the magnet of the old speaker across it.

been there done that.. I used a magnetic "wand/stick) and or a pick up tool with the three fingers to grab with. You may have to go from below to try to see and/or retrieve the tools.

easy retrieval technique - - - use the tool below and cut a smooth 1" wide slot all the way across the bottom of the bumper, you'll find them eventually...

It's a lot easier to put the car up on its nose and shake it until the wrenches fall out.

I wouldn't become unduly concerned about loosing 3 wrenches. At my age I can lay down a wrench on the floor, work bench or on the car and loose the darned thing. I spend more time trying to find wrenches I laid down and want to use again. Hell, one time I found my crescent wrench in the bathroom!!!!

just last week I was checking the oil on my truck and found a flashlight that had been missing in action for 3 months . . .
some how it slipped down between the steering pump and manifold and sat there nice and quiet ! But, where the hell my 1/2" wrench is from four years ago I'll probably never know........

Thanks for all the help I will try some of the more logical suggestions offered. For all those with the more humorous suggestions and stories, a special thanks for them. They made me laugh.

I'm a slow learner, too, but after I lose the first wrench, I tie a long cord on the next one. Keeps me from repeating my mistakes.

My hands don't work so good and one time I dropped a wrench down into the lower half of the final drive of a dozer. I had to tear the damn thing apart just to get my 1/2" wrench back. It may not sound like much to you but that wrench could ruin the final drive and I would have to tear everything apart AGAIN. Now **** off and leave me alone.

I never asked what he meant when he said again BUT I had an idea. I sauntered off on my merry way knowing I had made someone happy!

Dropped a wrench once into the "black hole" on an old car and never saw it again. Only had one more wrench that size so I took two rubber bands and connected them together. Put one end around the wrench and the other around my wrist. When I dropped it again it didn't fall far and I could just lift my arm and pull it back up.
