Default Key fob differences

Does anyone know for sure that the PKE key fob with the screws in the back will work on the PKE systems that originally came with the fob that snaps together?

This is for my '96.

I am not 100% sure, but I believe the only difference is the case.

The C4 PKE system was only available from 1993-1996, and I don't think they made any changes to it.

This would be for my '96.

I sure hope the fob with the screws works as I just bought a new one to replace my broken snap style case.

I did find out that the circuit board used in the snap style case will not fit in the screw style case nor the other way either. Actually the circuit boards are quite different.

When did the screw style case come out? I assume that the snap style that I got with my '96 was original....or was it for an older year?

I have the snap style case for my '96 (2 of them), and I assume they are the factory originals.
