...pulled up in a blue 93 vert and told you it was a 40th. What would you say?

Technically it IS a 40th, as signified by the stitching on the seats. But unless it's a Ruby, then it's not a 40th Aniversary Special edition.

It really was a 40th as it was a '93....just wasn't a Ruby 40th..the special designated color for that year and anniversary. :)

Same goes for the 1978. According to something I just read, the sliver anniversary edition wasn't a silver anniversary edition, it was just a special paint scheme and it turned out to be the most popular color for 1978.

Just like 1993. While technically all 1993's are 40th's, only the ruby reds are the 40th anniversary edition. There were more rubies in 1993 than any other color.

But like the LT4's in '96 which all had Grand Sport throttle body plates, people think they have a Grand Sport engine, not I'm not sure which came first, the Grand Sport or the LT4.

All '93's had the 40th logo stiched in the seat, so naturally those who don't know will say their's is a 40th.

Just like the '78's which all carried the 25th badging.

I'd say "Wow, I didn't know Ruby Red looked so blue in person!" :D

When I see a '93 'vette, I think '93 'vette. When I see a Ruby Red '93, I think 40th Anniversary. Just me, but I'm a 'vette newbie myself, so what do I know, right? :)
