I finally have the car all put back together so I got a temp permit and took it to get smogged. All the numbers were really low so it passed with flying colors. Man, I'm so happy to finally have it back on the road! Funny, the state lists the reason for inspection as "high emitter profile", even though it's just the usual bi-annual check to keep up your registration.
And for those who want to know the numbers:
test RPM %CO2 meas %O2 Meas HC Max HC Avg HC Meas CO Max CO Avg CO Meas NO max NO avg NO meas
15 1583 14.9 0.7 78 23 13 0.51 0.07 0.01 545 211 248
25 1430 14.9 0.7 61 19 9 0.42 0.06 0.01 502 189 463
Sorry, can't get the numbers to line up correctly.

Mine is also a 91. I've done a Super Ram, Fast Burn heads, LT-4 cam repro cam (with .480 list from the 1.52 Comp Cams roller tip rockers), LT-1 headers (with an EGR tube added), underdrive pulleys, Bosch injectors, mail order tune, Magnaflow catted y-pipe, and Flowmasters. Plus, a little bit higher stall converter, new trans, narrowed the rear end 1.1" to fit ZR-1 saw blades and 315's in the back, heim joint strut rods, poly bushings in the dog bones, and have a VB&P 32mm front sway bar and a stock 24MM rear bar with poly bushings, 84 Z51 springs front and rear, plus Koni shocks and also did a C5 front brake conversion. All of that is wrapped up in a nice Turquoise Metallic shell.

Do the Heads have an EO #?...If not, you got lucky they didn't ask about it on the visual!...
They're not any different looking than the stock aluminum heads.
He did say that the headers were "very pretty", and I "explained" that they were stock headers with the heat shields removed and then ceramic coated
Haha, that is one thing I don't miss about living in CA. Congrats on the pass! Even testing my DD (2.2L) tended to raise my blood pressure until it passed. Damn youse CA! Daaaamn youuuuse!
Congratulations on getting it to pass. I have a stock 86 and do not look forward to the biannual smog check. I only failed one time, and that was for the emission hose causing a large emission failure on their machine.
Nothing updated as drastic as yours, but its still cause for a mini celebration.
