Digi dash value?
Hey everyone,
I have a quick but probably stupid question:
Does a salvaged 84 digital dash display have any value if it hasn't been proved that it works? Or is it just a large silicon paper weight at that point?

Some of the places that rebuild the clusters get units ,rebuild them, and sell them on places like Ebay.. ..I have also read that the clusters quality kept getting better all the way up to 1989...WW

That's just it... I don't know. It was removed from the car with out knowing its functional state. anyone have procedure for testing one of these? OR is it really not worth it, and I should turn it into an art project?

I cut the dash connectors out of a junk '84 to use for testing clusters. The dash uses the same connectors as the ECM.
I believe the '84 dash is unique. It does have value to the person who has one that DOESN'T work.

I sold an unknown '84 digi dash to a rebuilder for $100 which is their core price. You might check them and see if they are interested.
