I thought I'd share a pic of the twins. I don't post much here in the C4 section... (Maybe I should as the C7Z section has become unbearable) but I do lurk and always wave. The new Z is absolutely nuts, but I drove the 96 yesterday and it still puts a smile on my face.

Awesome! Worlds apart in technology and performance; how would you describe your driving impressions of the new C7 over the GS? In comparison, does the C4 deliver enough of the Corvette experience for you to want to keep it?

I absolutely love my GS. I think the C4 is still a fantastic car that has aged very well. The foundation of the C4 is 35 years old and the fact that it performs at the level it does is a testament to the great leap forward that the C4 took over the late C3's. That being said the new Z is a monster. It pulls harder in 3rd than the GS does in 1st. Temps here in SW Ohio have not allowed me to do anything close to spirited driving, but once it does look out.

all vettes are great, some just greater than others!

well said.

You have 2 great looking Corvettes there. Having nothing to do with value or performance on appearance alone I would take either one in a heart beat.
Enjoy!

What an awesome combo... The 2nd best representation of the c4 era other then the zr1 heck some might argue the best.. C7 Z06 the alpha dog of Corvettes present and past... I've never driven any vette other then my L98 35th lol... Anybody in the Franklin-Nashville area with a c6-c7 that would let me take a drive lol... I'll let you drive my 88 haha

Thanks everyone for the nice words

Yes, it is shark grey. I was torn between torch red and SG. There is no bad combination on the C7Z and while the red does look stunning i am very happy with my choice.

Any chance you have a pic of the two of them sitting side by side from the rear? I want to make a photo (internet meme?) with a C5 saying "Do these taillights make my *** look big" and the C4 and C7 saying "It's not the taillights."

C7Z section has definitely undergone an interesting change. I'm sure that will all change as more and more owners take delivery of their cars versus the tire kickers and trolls dog piling the threads. It was the same for the C7 general section until the majority swayed in favor of owners versus pot stirrers. Awesome set of cars you have. Living the dream!

A beautiful pair you have there. Please DO keep posting here!!

I only have a one car garage so I keep my 95 at a friends house and keep the 04 here at home.

IF you should ever have the occasion where you have both cars at your disposal at the same time I think that many of us would be very interested in comparisons that you could make for us getting in and out of both of the cars such as:

Overall Seat Comfort
Leg room
Perceived interior room
Connection to the road through the steering wheels
Quality of ride
Storage space
Blind spots
Has the quality of the sound system improved that much?
etc, etc
