Default temp reading

I'm new to the corvette, had plenty of other cars but one thing concerns me the temp seems to run high the average is around 213 +- notice on a hot day it will run about 225- 230 but it never over heated I heard this was normal but it sound high to me.. what do you think

Those are normal temperatures for a C4.

If it goes over 250° you've got a problem. If the cooling system is in good shape (mostly if the radiator cap is the correct pressure) you can go to 265° before it boils.

Please fill out your profile so we know what you own
it is ok to be that hot but if your system is operating eficiantly, it won't. Chances are your radiator is on it's way to looking like the photo. Only way to clean it thoroughly is to take it out.

What are you talking about? I see a few spots air could go thru to cool it.

On my 91, I did try to clean it. Must have jogged something because it started leaking from the tanks. One More Time, Baby. This time I dumped it and got a DeWitts.
