Merry Christmas. My back window is water stained and I am able to remove the stains. I am looking for help.
I have tried most everything for clean glass, and sometimes it can be a lost cause unless the glass is finally replaced. Of course on our old cars like my 95 coupe, I am dealing with 20 year old glass.
You may want to try 50/50 mix of distilled water and white vinegar. The mineral deposits (calcium from lime deposits) are soluble with this solution. Good luck and Happy New Year. John
I use zep window cleaner to remove stains and tree sap from glass. Works great. Its the only thing Ive found that will get certain tree saps off. If zep wont remove it then its glass polishing time or replacement

I've used Bonami with great results. Put it on a wet sponge, make sure it all disolves and wash your window. Rinse everything well. Took off all the mineral deposits. I've heard some glass is very soft and could be scratched so test it in a small area. I have used it on several cars with no problems. First time I tried it was in the rain since rain water dosen't leave mineral deposits. I washed the window, rinsed everything off and let the rain water rinse off the tap water. Next morning window looked like new. I found Bonami in Shop Rite where they sell dish detergent and clenser. Hope this helps.
The vinegar solution has always worked for me too. For really tough stuff you could try some CLR or Sanivac with an old T-shirt. Those are for kitchen and bathroom lime deposits on faucets and sinks. I'd be careful not to drip those on the paint and rinse or wipe it off real good, cause it would probably strip off your wax pretty quickly.
