Hooking up a scanner to read my check engine light on my 94 6 spd revealed an odd issue. The scanner is stating that it cannot connect. The ALDL is powering the scanner so I believe it has power. The cigar fuse is good. Here is a picture of the ALDL. Any advice would be helpful:
Is the scanner compatible with both OBD I and II ? Have you used that same scanner on your car before ? Even though that is an OBD II connector the 94 used OBD I. As suggested before, try the scanner on another car and see if it works.
The scanner works fine on other cars. I have tried more than one scanner on this car, to include taking the car to the dealer and having them try. Same results there as well.
If the information isn't available from the DIC or the C68 panel then I'd think there are maybe CCM issues. Do the various DIC functions at "key-on" work?
From your snapshot the proper pins seem to be populated so I guess the next order of business would be confirming the proper "wire colors" are in the proper ports. I'm assuming that you for sure have a FSM to confirm that. 8A-50-1

What brand and model is the scanner?
Most scanners are only OBD2 and will not work on the '94-'95 Corvettes even though they have an OBD2 connector. They are OBD1 cars.
