90 corvette - air bag light on, and sport seats don't work (air pump/bladder thing). what would you estimate deducting from the asking price for those items - assuming no other issues? reason - I'm thinking of selling my 90, and trying to formulate an asking/selling price. a couple hundred, $500, $1000, ??? TIA....

Some selling prices are relative to the condition of the vehicle. What is your asking price?

still trying to figure something out - some details, white over red, glass top, auto, FX3, 42K miles. just did injectors, plugs, wires, cap and rotor, all fluids serviced, new pads and rotors, she's extremely clean and detailed, with only those two issues. I don't need two daily drivers, so either my 90 or my 85 is going. really haven't decided, as I said, just kicking around pricing.

I wouldn't take non working items into consideration when formulating a price. The potential buyer is going to note these items and try and get you to discount some more. Your selling price should be what it is comparatively worth in your area. Then judge each offer on it's own merits.
The sport seat air bladder issue is not really a big deal because this is such a common problem on these older cars. Most others would have the same issue.
However, the air bag light is an issue and would affect your price. I think this is something that will prevent the car from passing inspection in some states. It may be an easy fix if you get it diagnosed. I had another car that had an air bag light on and it turned out to be a bad electrical connection that just needed spray cleaner.

I'd definitely fix the airbag light before listing

Joe, Most will consider this a very expensive repair and deduct accordingly.. Also once someone sees a defect like the air bag, their whole feeling about a car can change to being negative...If you can keep them feeling positive about the car while negotiating, your way better off.....WW
The air bag light is a common problem with 90's and is reasonably easy to fix. There has been a lot of discussion on the repair. Most times it's corroded frame rail sensors or a loose or corroded sensor connector just inside the firewall. Pull the codes, repair and reset the light to get your best price.
with the others. At least diagnose the air bag light and unless it's an absurd amount of money fix it. It's an instant turn off when a warning light is on.
