Default 94 cargo screen

Is the rear cargo screen/shade still available anywhere? the one on my 94 has just about reached the end of the line, I've had it out to try to restore its recoil but I cant do much with it, I'm guessing something inside is broke, it just looks messy, it wont rewind and it wont stay in the catches, it just sits about halfway, it needs replacing, I'd really need a new one, not a salvage one, any thoughts?

for a new one, you may be out of luck. the cargo shade p/n 14049020 has been long discontinued from GM. the fabric part is available as a reproduction, but you would have to re-use your original roller mechanism, bar and handle. since you indicated you have an issue with your roller mechanism, and unless you can repair your original, about your only option is to locate one used or salvage, OR search places like ebay for someone selling a NOS assembly. I would think finding a NOS part that would be a long shot. BTW, I bought used for my 90 -- paid somewhere around $40 or $50. it looks and operates like new.

Thanks Joe, I'll check out Ebay, though weather the seller would want to ship to the UK might be an issue, unless someone here is breaking a C4 (unlikely) but you never know!

You could try Adrian Dromey (email at hazel.dromey@talk21.com). He broke 2 coupes a while ago. Or Keith at Eurovettes often has used bits and pieces (email at keef@eurovettes.com). Worth a try. Both are good to deal with in my experience. John Wyatt, living in Devon.

Yeah, I've done a lot of business with Keith over the last few years, decent guy, my car is pictured in his latest advert in the Corvette Club magazine..him and Tom Falconer at Claremont are the only two other people to have driven my car since I've had it, he is on my list of possible's but it's always good to increase your chance's with other sources.
