Hi guy, I have any 88 iroc z.runs great, passes smog, extremely strong I have had 3. I bought the car out of Nevada.it was rumored the previous owner put 8k under the hood @dealership about 8 yes ago.
From header to exhaust tip SLP stainless.
My issue is the engine # VE249R34 on the frnt stamp pad is a Sticker and I can't find any references
someones gotta know.

It may be aftermarket, but still I should find a point of reference??.....
As I am sure you are probably aware, the engine number is usually stamped into the block just ahead of the right side cylinder head. The stamp will also include a portion of the vin number, linking the engine to the car. Shouldn't be a sticker unless its a reman engine or something.
