I have been experiencing an annoying rattle (thruth is they are all annoying :D ) and I think I have found it, but a, utterly clueless on how to fix it... I had the top off last night for the first time in a long time for some warm night air (and while it was off to make an adjustment on the driver's rear bolt hole alignment :yesnod: ). Ok, my squeak is coming from the driver's side where the roof bolts to the targa. There is where it gets interesting. The piece where the car bolts to the top sticks out a bit allowing the driver's mirror wire to run through and have room for the bolt. The section that sticks out is loose   On top there are two Phillips screws which I removed to allow the plastic piece on top to come off; everything is fine inside. In fact it is identical to the passenger side; I checked!! It seems the metal box where the bolt is isn't attached to anything on the car, just loose  The passenger side is rock solid but I can't see any difference at all......
Anybody got any suggections or experience with this??? I need a little input
:seeya
I know the blocks on the header that the frt of the targa bolts to can loosen. if you remove all the trim there are 13 mm bolts inside very tuff to get at unless you have a good varierty of tools. :smash:
Blk90rdstr,
That seems to be the case with mine. Good call. Once the trim is off, top and bottom, where are the 13mm bolts? From the bottom, haven't looked there yet??? What tools are needed???? Thanks for the response!!
