chimes?
Took the wife out last night in the vette.....accidently left the lights on for a few minutes, she says threre used to be a "chime" when lites were left on....my hearing isn't that great so i've never noticed... it's an 85....should something chime? and additionally, how do you repair it"?......thanks.....

Yes, there is a louder quite annoying chime when you leave the lights on with the ignition off. If I were you I'd just leave it alone and not fix it. I think the chime module is behind the center dash behind the radio if you do decide to replace it.

I guess my chime on my '85 is as old and tired as I am, its barely audible if it works at all. Its not really a chime but more a dinging bell. I think its the same bell for the key in the ignition reminder. All in all I really dont care if it works or not but the headlight on feature has saved me I am sure.
