Default Certification Questions

I was thinking about trying the Bloomington Gold certification this year. Has anyone ever tried this with their C4's? Is it worth it?

It looks like the Benchmark certification is $200 but also requires the Gold ($500) and Survivor ($500) registrations ... plus trailer, hotels, etc .... certainly will end up being a $2,000 weekend.

I am pretty sure that my car is 100% complete and original minus filters, fluids and battery.

I'm just trying to figure out if this is worth it. I'd love to hear others opinions and experiences.

Thanks,

-JRW

you can go the NCRS route.
there is a new jersey chapter as well as the metro long island chapter to get you started.
a chapter event is less than $100 to enter . you would receive a top flight award if your car score a 97% and higher.than you can move onto a regional event and continue to go up the ladder to the nationals

try:

www.ncrs.org

if you needed a 97 to move up past chapter there would be no cars at a regional. I would say most have a higher regard for NCRS then any other award.

The Top Flight Award (it is not a certification, the distinction is subtle but very important) requires a 94, not a 97.

Certification implies that we are making some sort of guarantee as to the car's originality or fitness for a particular standard. NCRS does not get into the business of authentication.

I am a member of the Central Jersey Chapter. Our meeting is tonight. Look us up on the web and come on by.

Thanks for the replies and information. I think I'll try going the NCRS route right now.

I know the car is now 100% factory original and nearly perfect.... can't see paying $1200 for someone to confirm that right now.

Thanks,

Not sure where you are in NJ but on March 29th the Mason Dixon NCRS chapter is having there spring meet in Have Da Grace right of 95. I know it's to fair from the southern NJ. If your thinking about doing it you can still enter your car or just come and watch

its in the latest addition of the NCRS driveline on page 116. I am not sure why its not listed on the NCRS website for events. contact Rick @ mdninja1@hotmail.com for more details. you must be a member of NCRS to have your car judged. I know he has spots open for judging

[Flame Suit On]

I don't get the car to many events because I have to rent a trailer each time. While many may disagree, I feel its important to keep this car 100% factory original... as mint as possible... and keep the miles very low. I have other C4's that I can and do drive.

I'm going to pick 1-2 events for this summer again.
