Wanted to show everyone something I have been working on. I have my 94 Z07 in for paint right now, and i'm doing an overhaul on a bunch of items. one of those items being carbon fibre wrap to some of the Interior Trim Pieces.
Wanted to show a before and after so far on one of the pieces.
This was my test piece, it has some broken tabs on the end (like most) hence why i was looking for 2 pieces for the rear in another thread. However, this was done with 1 solid piece of carbon wrap and a first attempt. It's actually very fun to work with.
I'm planning to carbon the 3 rear cargo pieces, the 2 halo pieces on the B pillar as well. I don't want to go overboard and carbon every single plastic piece because the corvettes have character all by themselves. Just trying something new.
This was done with 3M 1080 vinyl. They claim you need a smooth surface for the stuff to stick, so i wet sanded the piece, i'm taking it to my wrap shop to have them let me know if they feel it will stick with or without sanding our interior pieces.
I'm not 100% sold on doing the door handle bezels, i won't know till i get it on the door panel, great thing is that I can tear this stuff off if i don't like it.
