My Low Coolant light comes on when I start the car, but ALWAYS turns off when I press the clutch in. When I change gears and release the clutch, that light comes back on. Coolant level is fine. Any ideas? Is the sensor near any of the moving parts that could cause it to touch it?
The Low Coolant Sensor is in the bottom of the radiator surge tank. A bad sensor can turn on the Low Coolant light with the tank full. Check the fluid level in the tank. With the engine cold, remove the pressure cap and start the engine. When the thermostat opens, you should see coolant circulating in the tank and possibly a drop in the level. Top off the coolant to the rim of the tank and replace the cap. Also make sure that the recovery tank is filled to the COLD mark.
Not sure why depressing the clutch pedal is causing that light to come on. There shouldn't be any relationship electrically. Might be a good idea to remove the driver's side hush panel under the dash and see if the clutch pedal arm or the shaft going to the clutch master is rubbing against any wire harness.
There are two brass bleeder valves by the thermostat ....or you can just jack up the right rear of the car and fill at the radiator cap and let the bubbles out if you use the bleeders don't let the water get to the distributer
