Default Winter Nap is OVER!!!

I got home from work today and cleaned up the garage a bit. Took the cover off the vette and took the LONG way around to pick up some dinner. Ahhhhh, nothing cures spring fever quicker than a drive in the Vette!!!

It is supposed to rain today. I hope it does and washes the salt off the roads here.

That means that tomorrow mine comes out of hibernation too.

Did the very same thing. Little chilly for top-down driving, but still enjoyed every minute. Great to spend a little time with the old girl after 4 months without her.

It was 79 here yesterday. High in the 50's today. No precipitation in the forecast for the next week.

And today I saw a salt truck spraying liquid salt on every bridge and overpass. I hate them!!! There is no purpose to the salt!!!

Rant over.

I've been debating getting mine out of storage as well. It hit 79 here yesterday but only 47 today with overnights around freezing. In the past we've had some hellish snowstorms in NW Iowa into April so maybe I'll wait to see how next week turns out. Even after five years of ownership I still get a nice rush the first time I take it out in the spring

astepup said that

You guys need to move to Florida. I only put the targa top on when it's time for a bath.

BUT, summer is on the way and that means daily isolated downbursts that keep me checking the radar app on my phone when I'm running around.

Aaarrgh! Detailed the 89 convertible last night for a weekend getaway, covered her up and went to bed. Woke up this morning....SNOW. Taking the Poncho G8, still has snow tires on it because every time I've just about had the time to switch them out more white stuff appears.

Still had snow coming down here this week. I'm waiting for a few spring rains to wash the salt residue off the streets. I asked a local city employee why my town felt it necessary to put so much salt down during the winter. He gave me that "hands up, don't shoot" gesture and said the county puts on more salt than the city.

It's snowing as I'm writing this. This year I'm contemplating putting my C4 up for sale. Don't get to use it as much as I'd like to. Roads will be a mess until late April.

No offence, but y'alls boasting about your lack of snow (or winter of any kind) can suck it!
