Default It's ALIVE

I can't thank Chris@SpeedDemon enough. Even with a few complications, he did EVERYTHING HE possibly could and then some to get it right BEFORE I left with it. I really couldn't get on it much since I'm still breaking in the motor and the new clutch.

Yes, the aluminum flywheel and Spec Stage 2 clutch is noisey. I'll learn to live with it. It's a little annoying right now because it reminds me of the sound the motor WAS making after the bearing spun. :mad I'm hoping it might quiet down a little once it's broke in. I'll post on that later.
(BTW, I knew well in advance that this might happen, and I was okay with it..........so don't go there! :D )

As far as the motor is concerned, all I can say is WOW. I haven't even seen it's total potential yet, and I'm impressed. The electric water pump is well worth it. I got stuck in some construction traffic and with the A/C off, it dropped down and stayed nice and cool. I think I need to clean the radiator so it'll stay cool with the A/C on as well. :yesnod:

I may just have to go and drive it another 1000 miles tomorrow! :D :seeya

I was just thinking the other day... your signature had read that your car would be revived on August 9th, but we didn't see a post from you on August 9th. I'm glad to see it is running! :yesnod:

I bet you are very glad to have your Vette back!

Stage 2 clutch? Is that a two-piece clutch? It must be very quick on the shifts! Drivetrain mods are the best for going fast :yesnod:

I'd love to see that tach go to redline as fast as I'd imagine it can with those two mods. Next should be a carbonfiber driveshaft :yesnod:

Stage 2 or Stage 3 refers to the material they use on the disc itself.

Stage 2 = Kevlar ($445)

Stage 3 = Carbon Fiber ($525)

NO! Motor isn't broke in, nor is the clutch. It's killing me that I can't really get on it, but I'm not about to take any chances till it's ready!

You'd have to be a little more specific. Motor, Tranny, everything? I had a LOT of work done. :yesnod:

Congrats on finally picking up the ride. Your car has been down a VERY long time and I hope the wait was worth it. Sounds like it was.

FWIW...
I'm hoping it might quiet down a little once it's broke in. I'll post on that later. (BTW, I knew well in advance that this might happen, and I was okay with it..........so don't go there! )
Told you so :p:
