hey hey
whats going on. ive been checking out the site for a while now and decided to join, its one of the best Sites ive seen around for Vettes. and the babe section totaly rocks IM thinking about getting a C4 but the mods seem to cost an outrageous price. am i the only one that thinks this? maybe im just looking in the wrong places. anyways. hopefully ill have a new ride in the next few months, :chevy

Welcome! That's a bad rep Vettes have for costing an arm & leg to modify or fix. Truth is if you do your homework, & are fairly mechanical you can have a heck of a nice Vette without killing your checkbook. Not to say they're cheap by any means, it's just all about how you go about it. :cheers:

Welcome aboard. Yes, the mods that give big increases are fairly pricey, but that goes for any type of car. There are, however, a number of free or relatively inexpensive mods that won't give you tremendous gains by themselves, but when done in conjuction with a few others will give some improvement. I've taken my car from 14.1 @ 98 mph in the 1/4 mile to 13.57 @100.5 doing only the "free" mods (and hopefully a little quicker now that I just got drag radials). I haven't even had the valve covers off yet. Do a search and you'll find plenty of threads on these mods.

You get what you pay for; a Corvette is first class all the way. Leave the cheap crap for the lower life forms. ;)
