Hoping for this guy this was thread resurrection... feeling like it wasn't though...
This was this morning April 7th, 2015.
We were just getting the sand off the roads and today you would think every road was dirt and not asphalt. I think they dropped more sand this morning than they did all year.
i've spent 40 years in s florida...now that i'm retired, the7-8 months of constant 90 degrees have worn me out.....Bought a house on Lake Superior in Nothern Michigan...and going back in May..snowing there today tomorrow and the day after.... Cold or not, as long as you have a 4 wheel drive truck, a snowmobile and a shotgun, you're happy.....

I did the reverse after spending 60+ years in NY I was tired of the snow and high taxes. Retired to Fl
s fl was nice for a few months in the winter..but the traffic is insane and getting worse....decided I retire up north and drive slow in the left lane.....unfortunately, not a lot of left lanes in the UP....and the old finlanders drive slow anyway....

I retiered in Texas but spend July and Aug in Mich and Dec and Jan in Thailand dodging the hot and cold the best I can

I'm located by the treasure coast ( Stuart,Port st Lucie area) it was crowded in the winter but not as bad as Boca
That's what we called Northern WI when we lived in WI! Now in FL and in July and August we do miss the cool nights and seeing "real" trees. Nothings perfect but I think having a condo in both places would be nice.
