If my rear end gets any bigger, my "bolsters" will be the center console and the door panel

Has anyone made spacers to raise the height of the seat? I'm thinking about it to make it easier to get out. With recent hip surgeries it violates my hip precautions I am suppose to follow, plus the fact I'm overweight doesn't help either!

So if I read this thread correctly you could use the bottom cushions from a standard seat with the sport seats for a 96 since the bottom cushion doesn't have the controls in it?

That is what I did with my 1994....Replaced the Sport Seats with Base Standard seat cushions and covers.

I assume you lost the lumbar support when you did that, is that right?

No the Lumbar works and a slight amount on the side bolsters as well.

That would make this much easier. How hard was it to replace the foam and seat covers? Any customizing you had to do to get it to fit?

I had it done by a guy here locally...He replaced the covers on both my 1993 and the above 1994. I wasn't there and didn't really get any feedback on if he had an issues with fitting.

Note, if you buy Seat Covers Mounted to new Cushions (like I did) I think it should have been plug and play other than what ever he did with the airbladders .

Hi Jeff,
Thanks for the info. Where can I find the "stick post" you're talking about? I'd like to install the sport seats from 1990 into a 1996?
