Default Overheating with cold coolant

Good afternoon for those of you on the west coast.
A week ago my car stopped cooling. It isntantly went from cooling fine to just going straight up in coolant temp with only a brief pause around the 180 and slowed down slightly after that. I am trying to flush and clean the system today but when I drained my radiator (coolant temp read 175) the little coolant that hit my hand was cool. So I went back to feel more and it was all cold. When I got my car to the garage to work on it, it was reading 210.
any suggestions?

Check the temp on you top and bottom hoses to see if the Thermostat is opening.

Hi

The temperature sensor can show high after it has been overheated.
Replace the thermostat and temp sensor if it shows high when engine is not at operating temp.

The cars are supposed to run between 200 to 240 f.

Cheers

They should run between 190-200 while going down the road, if your running 240 at hwy speeds something is wrong.

It sounds like the coolant is not flowing through the engine block.
