Sys light on digi dash came on while driving
Okay while I was driving to work the SYS light would blink twice every once and a while when driving in. Is this anything to be worried about? If I hook up the code reader should it show a problem? 1991 C4 Coupe,auto trans.

The SYS is a signal of an error detected in the electrical system. One of the most common causes is a battery starting to go. If the CCM detects battery voltage below a set number(something like 11 volts) for a few seconds, it will falsh SYS. Have you installed an aftermarket stereo system. This can also cause the SYS because the CCM is not seeing the correct resistance in the dimmer cicuit. Check to make sure you don't have any blow fuses. If the problem is not one of these then you probably have a relay shorted to battery voltage or an open circuit somewhere. If this is the case, you'll need to pull the CCM codes. I'm not sure if the 92 procedure is the same as the 91. Someone on the forum can probably find it for you if it isn't. If you plan on keeping the car, I would suggest buying a Helms manual. All of the info is contained in it. On another note, I was looking at your site and noticed that you list your rear gear as a 2.93. I thought the only gears offered on auto coupes were the base 2.59 (GM1) or the perforamnce option 3.07(G44). :cheers:

Yes, I did have the AC on while it happened. I noticed the voltage drop. I do have an aftermarket stereo as well. I will check my GM manual if it happens on a more routine basis. THanks for the info, that eases my mind.
