I broke the alternator harness plug. If I go to the local pick and pull yard, are many gm cars using the same harness making it easy to find?
Yes there are many that use the same BUT it's a very inexpensive buy across the counter at your local AP store. Maybe even less expensive from a local rebuilder who buys likely a few at a time. Consider the age of the cars that use them they might want to "move/sell off" some inventory less expensively.
They might even keep the empty shell and you just release your terminals and insert in the shell. That would be very cheap.
*** I would think you could buy, carry home, install and be driving in less time than you could find one at the pick n pull, unless it's an excuse to do "a look around" then there's nothing like a day at the JY.
