Interior opinions requested
I spilled something on my tan interior rear carpet, I don't know what, but it looks aweful. Not to mention normal wear and tear. So I'm going to start my color change.
Here's the color I want:
Red(Garnet) in my white car, IMO, is going to look GREAT. I love white/red combos.
However, I believe the final color I want my car to be, is a dark orange, similar to this:
I am having a really hard time imagining an Orange Car with a Red interior. I don't think that would look very good at all, but I'm not sure. What do you think?
Nextly, I don't think there is any way I am going to get seatbelts in a decent matching color. I think my options will be black or grey. Or maybe the bright red that is used in Vette's will look alright. One of the forum members that lives kind of close to me has a red interior, when I'm ready to order seat belts, I'll get a comparison using his.

I've got to say that I don't really like either the interior color or the exterior color. Of course it is your car and you should do what you want. Just my .02. :seeya

I believe there were 3 reds for vette interiors during the C4 era..
Carmine red
Flame Red
Torch Red
While Torch Red is a Brighter color, sometimes (to me) seems closer to orange
Flame red is darker deeper color, I also think carmine red is deeper then Flame red.

With an orange exterior, the only interior colors that I would consider would be gray, black, and maybe white. My friend's hugger orange SS has white seats in an otherwise black interior and it looks great.

If you are going to go orange, some form of saddle would be OK. Look at the 70's Vette's that came in Orange. Most of them had a saddle (tan) interior, at least the one's I have seen. Red=NONO!

Well, I must say that C5 with that orange is :cool: :cool: :cool: . Of course though I have always liked SOME of the wild colors, an example is what Callaway has done with some of his. I would have to agree on tan interior if going with orange. :cheers:
