[Help] Some Electrical Problems
I was wondering if anyone could help me with a couple issues I am having.
These issues are happening in my 1990.
My cruise control does not work at all, my delay switch on the wipers do not work, my window washing pump does not work (might need help to further diagnose this issue), and my aftermarket car remote does not lock or unlock the car anymore.
When I bought the car last month, the remote worked just fine, then it stopped working one day, and I even replaced the battery just in case.
Do any of you have any ideas?

P.S. Where can I get an A/C compressor for a reasonable price, and how hard is it to replace?

My cruise control does not work at all, my delay switch on the wipers do not work,***=mine sort of works. i have an early c4 though and i chak it up to dirty contacts on the controller. Ill be cleaning them this winter. yours may be the same but not sure which body style u have*** my window washing pump does not work (might need help to further diagnose this issue), ****have u got a digital bolt meter yet? grab one and watch a youtube tutorial on how to ise it. Then google how to test the washer pump on corvette c4 and my guess is you will be doing a test for voltage. these cars are so neglected that if a person just starts throwing parts at it, you will be at $1500 in new prts before you know it. what i mean is that its worth it to get the voltmeter and learn how to test because it will save u thousands in $ and hours spent sourcing/buying/installing unnecessaty parts***and my aftermarket car remote does not lock or unlock the car anymore.

**yes...having almost completed one "refresh and anout to start a second....1. take note of any weird tranny crap now. same with diff and ujoint noises.
2. do a full fluids change and wipe out the plastic collector pan between each type of fluid because u want to see what comes out as far as solids and what is stuck to the bolt magnetically.
3. with the car on jackstands do the 6 and 12 test for wheel hubs and the and a 3 and 9 test for the tie rods. (please use more than you need, if one fails, and leave the jack under the car as a backup stand as well in case of failure. )
4. necause you noted before draining the fluids what the issues are in the tranny/crankcase/and diff, you will be able to fix them while the fluid is out.
once those are fixed then button it up torqued to spec only!!!! you can get lots of torque specs by just googling "1994 transmission pan bolt torque spec" etc. i use my iphone and get siri to do it and its faster than looking in my fsm.
there is a billion other things but its a start.
and yes u should compatamentaize a post but then i am the kettle calling the pot black on that one. i tend to brain dump.

have fun! people here like to help BUT they do like to hear provress reports, hear what you tried and why or why not it worked.
Then when u accumulate knowledge from doing your own rebuild then u can come answer questions like these.
also, rockauto.com has almost every part under the sun.
