E Brake Cables

Default E Brake Cables

The rubber boots on the e brake cable at the rear wheels are melting off not sure why, any info why.

Are you sure they are melting and not deteriorating with age?

they might very well be deteriorating never thought of that

Mine are doing the same. A 94 with only 11K miles. Kinda weird that it's doing it in the middle of the boot, but it is thinner there. Pretty much just a age deteriorating issue. Haven't seen any replacements available either.
