Default Starting issue

Alright you vette garu's. 92 6sp 99.7 k, Drove to work all week with no issues. Then last night after work car started then immediately died.
Tries every couple of minutes to restart and engine just turned over but would not even attempt to start. After roughly 15 min. of this it finally started and ran fine on the way home. Half tank of gas(Chevron). Thanks in advance for sharing your wisdom. SAVE THE WAVE

Update more more info: while driving SYS light flashes and security light also flashes.
Then when I turn off car and try to restart security light foes on when I turn key on, but when I try to start security light flashes and engine just turns over. This is a on again and off again issue. I took an eraser and cleaned both sides of the key but problem still persists. Alright C4 garus opinions appreciated. SAVE THE WAVE

Default Won't Start Security and Sys Flashing
I have a 1992 Corvette. I installed a Vats bypass and it seems to work fine. However, occasionally it won't start and the security light and sys light flash when it won't start. I never know when its not going to start, so its very annoying. Usually when I go to start the car the security light is off, I noticed that sometimes the security light stays on and thats when it will not start.
I stopped using the power locks thinking it was may the alarm that was disabling the car from start, however I still have a problem when I use the manual locks.
Help!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! This is so annoying.

Thanks very much for the repy. I was wondering if the codes would still be there, since it runs fine after it starts. I will give it a try when I get time next week.

Check the battery voltage, it should be reading around 12.6v. Then check it when turning the car over. The light flashes due to general system faults. This light may flash if the voltage drops below 9v. The most common cause of this light flashing intermittently is an old or weak battery. Get the battery checked and re-charge or replace the battery if necessary. If the battery is OK then check the computer for codes because one or more of the electrical systems may have a problem.
Good luck

Mine does exactly the same thing...I never know when she'll fire up or not and I simply wait out the 10 minutes and most times all is well. Odd thing is it only happens in the summer (Hot) months but never when it's cooler out.

I've checked the voltage, connections, etc. and all is well. Since she's not a dd, I've just kinda learned to live with this PITA annoyance.

<<< Me waiting the 10 minutes out.

Was it the battery?

When my c4 battery gets low, my dumb security system will lock out the starter... it just wont engage at ALL. I think it tricks the ECU into thinking it's been hotwired or something. Either way, when I keep a trickle charger on it I never have this "security" flashing issue *knocks on wood*

Still no luck getting it started. Last time it started was Friday. Guess it is time to tow it to the shop and see if my mechanic can get it running. SAVE THE WAVE

Finally had the car towed to the shop yesterday afternoon. Everything I checked seemed to be good. No codes, good voltage when trying to start, I even threw the charger on just to make sure battery was fully charged after sitting for over a week still would not start. My mechanic is sharp and one of the most respected vette mechanics in this area so now I just wait for his call. Will update when I hear from him. Thanks for all the advise you guys are the best. Well here it is. Two problems one is fix the fuel pump went out. Second I guess not so easy looks like the issue with the ASR light and security and SYS light flashing is the CCM. So I have to find some one here locally that has a TECH 1 to replace the CCM or I just ignore it and keep driving it and hope for the best. SAVE THE WAVE.

The problems continue. Car started this morning so I drove it to work. A friend dropped by (C^) who used to have a C4. Decided to go to happy hour. Car would not start. Told him what was going on. Opened the hood he took out the PCM and took inside and put it in the refrigerator for about 5 min. Of course I was dumb founded. I asked him what was he doing and he said these units are know for failing in the heat. He took it out of the fridge put back in the car and it started the first time. Any one every heard of this before because it was news to me. So now I guess I have to get a new PCM. Any advice who to deal with on this. Do I get a used one, a rebuilt one or have mine rebuilt if that is even possible. I have not had time to do any research, but I know you folks will bestow your years of wisdom on me. Thanks in advance. SAVE THE WAVE

So today I got tired of trying to start car for over a week with no luck. I pulled the ecm out and put it in the refrigerator for 10 min and put it back in and engine started on first try. I still get sys and security flashing and service asr light on after running for a few minutes. It is throwing a code 41. So due I replace the ecm and this will solve the problem or do I have to also replace the ccm? Thank you for your input.
