Try resetting it. Mine was really low. I reset on the tollway. Was at 13 on highway, now at 22 or 23mpg.
Good idea, but with the LS swap the fuel info does not work. I was using a calculator for the mpg. Fill the tank full at every fill up note miles, and galled then miles/gallons.
As for why it was that high. It has been reading ~200mph most of the time when really driving ~70mph. It would record over 1500+ miles on ~10 gallons of 91.
