ECM and shifting
Does the ECM play any part in the early automatics C4s shifting speeds or is this done by the TV cable only?

How early is early ???
I seem to remember pre 94 cars were 100% regulated by tv cable and the trans governor. I might be wrong, but I doubt it.

No. All shifting is controlled by the Governor and TV cable.
