Since I could see dirt on my car from less then 3 feet away I decided I needed to wash it. So there I am, enjoying myself when I notice some scratches on the hood and bumper on the passenger side. At first I am thinking those stupid kid neighboors of mine backed over the front of my car :mad. Then on closer expection I realize that the marks are in sets of four. They are CAT prints!! :mad :mad. That bastard jumped on the bumper and since my paint is extremely slick from Zaino, he/she slid down and jumped again!! Then it landed on my hood and slid down more. And they are not normal cat prints. I think the SOB has just left the liter box and got sand all over it's feet because the scratches are quite bad :mad :mad
So I finish washing and grab some 3M scratch remover. I was able to buff most of the scratches off, but about 20% of them were deep enough to leave small hairline (maybe about 1/10 of a hailine) wide scratches. Few people will ever notice them but they will forever be a thorn in my side.
Stupid cat. Anyone have ideas on what works to repell these pesky critters
I heard putting moth ***** around the car might keep them at bay. Mine is always covered so I don't have any problems. Before that my 87 sustained such scratches in a similar incident though.
Do the job right. Get a pellet gun, if around other homes, and learn how to use it, with pellets. Of course, that depends on what you want to happen to the little critter.
