Bouncing in the Steering wheel
Hit a bump the other day and my steering wheel shook for a little while then it smoothed out. I went and got the tires balance,check the rims to see if one might be slightly bent but they were okay.Took it out for a test drive rode smooth until I hit a bump or a manhole cover then I would get that vibration back for a short while.Another fact I haven't really driven the car in four years, did move it around to the best of my ability to prevent the tires from getting a flat spot. Does anyone have any other suggestions , be glad to hear from someone who can point me into the right direction.

Sounds like a shock problem to me, especially since it does it for a while and then calms down. Wonder if hitting the bump might have bent the rod a little long enough to lose the gas. I had a bad one on my Vette a while back and you could do the typical bounce test and not even detect the problem shock because the other three were so stiff. Also, shocks are probably the easiest thing in the suspension to change.
