I recently changed my opti spark on my 94 and now it will turn over but wont start. I put it on the same way it came off but my #1 cylinder is not firing off. Please help me!
after I replaced mine it would not fire off right away. it took well over a min of cranking before it would start. after the fact it was fine. make sure you have fuel pressure, and everything it hooked back up
Spark plugs and wires are brand new. So is the fuel pump, filter and injectors. I'm thinking the #1 cylinder is not up when starting but I don't know how to check it.

What do you mean by "#1 cylinder not up"? Top dead on compression?

Shouldn't really matter. If the opti truly is seated on the cam drive pin correctly the computer will know when to fire the cylinders in the correct order. You don't have to start with the rotor pointing at #1. The cam drive pin seating in the rear of the opti should align it correctly no matter which cylinder is up. Make sure you have everything plugged back in. You can unplug the coil High voltage wire and stick an old plug or coil wire in there and lay the loose end near a good ground with a little screwdriver or piece of bare wire jammed in the free end. have somebody crank the engine and see if it throws sparks. No sparks means something isn't plugged in all the way.
