ac compressor locked up .....

Default ac compressor locked up .....

what do I have to replace to ensure that the new one wont lock up due to junk from the old one in the system ????/

Accumater most the time plugs it regulates pressure from pump going on and off also has a filter screen in it so when system is old that most the time is first to go!

I don't understand the response . is this a meter that screws into the system ? do I replce everything condenser evaporator and dryer ?????

Replace accumulator (dryer), condenser, and orifice tube. Might as well replace all of the orings while you are there. Probably a good idea to replace the evaporator as well, or at least flush it out along with the lines.

You can also get an AirSept inline filter screen to help catch any large pieces that might have gotten missed or still in there somewhere. They make one where you can pop it into the suction line at the compressor.

At least LOOK at the orifice tube. If any junk gets into the system it will get plugged up.

Sorry didn't realize phone put accumater accumilater/dryer was just trying to help had the same problem and changing that fixed it! But funny how other people get about a misspelled word! Have a nice day bro!

not a problem at all .heck thank god for spell check. my orifice tube was really plugged full of metal shavings. once again thank you all for your responses.
