On my 95 convertible - When I turn on and off the headlight switch, they make a repeating racket before opening or closing. Lights come on and go off. Anyone know this issue? if so what is it. Thanks
My 91 does this.
I understand the motors need replacing...or just replace the wheel inside the motors.
Sometimes the Right Headlight needs some help flipping over.
Thanks, that was a great video, so after my trip to Moto GP, I will be doing both headlights . Thanks again and once again the forum has been most beneficial !!
I just did mine a couple of weeks ago, what a pain in the ___.You better allow a couple of hours per side. My gears were pulverized to powder and hardened in the housing. Take pics if needed.
Same noise in my 95 it was the three pellets or little round things as I call em. Not expensive but time and patience consuming. Bring an extra pint of blood just in case.

Between Opti's, running hot, Bose radios and headlight gears these are a constant C4 threads! Put brass gears and pellets in both sides not because they didn't function but because of noise.

I would not use the brass gear if something other than the pucks go bad I would rather the gear be the weak link.
My driver side has run on and its not the motor. Got a new motor, had run on and sent it back. Got another new motor and makes the same run on noise. plugged it into the passenger side and works perfect so something else is causing the run on.

Antfarmer you missed one important statement. When I took that same motor and plugged it into the passenger side it worked perfectly took it back to the driver side and back to the run on. Its a good way to test your motors.

Kimmer, do you think that something in the headlight controller may have gone bad?
