Clutch disc troubles
. Then the car wouldnt accelerate and the most go awful noise you can imagine was coming out from under my car
. So I put her in neutral and coasted off the track. I left it idleing (the noise was still there but not near as loud, I knew it wasnt the engine so thats why I left it running). I popped the hood and I could see sparks coming out of the bellhousing
! So, needless to say she got trailered home. I disassembled it all on sunday (I hate c-beam bolts!!!) and found my clutch disc had lost an entire section and nicely placed it into my bellhousing.
It had a carolina stage 2 clutch setup put in it 3000 miles ago. . So, I contacted carolina today and they helped me out a bunch and there is currently a new clutch disc in a truck heading my way! I found a brand new bellhousing on ebay for $250 and purchased it. Amazingly enough my flywheel and pressure plate looked fine and are still in good shape. So after a very long weekend I would just like to say thanks the the guys at Carolina Clutch you get an A+ in my book on customer service. Hopefully she is back together before I go back to school P.S. If anyone knows how to weld magnesium I have a bellhousing!
