Default Maybe Timing

On my 1984 Corvette WHEN DRIVING THE CAR ON A HIGHER SPEED I FEEL AS THOUGH IS HOLDING BACK OR MAYBE IT IS A SLIGHT BUCKING NOT SURE. I have change the plugs and the spark plug wires. When idling the car run smooth when I push the gas pedal the response is quick. All suggestions are welcome

See what your fuel pressure is doing.

Klgrayson, know that we have communicated before. Sound like a fuel issue. When was the last time the fuel filter was changed? With the 84 your pressure if fairly low to feed the two injectors. Is there a Schrader valve on the fuel line to the injectors? If there is, then attached a fuel pressure gauge to the valve and tape the gauge to the windshield. Then run the car at the higher speed and watch the pressure to see if it drops at the higher speed. If it does, then your starting to starve for fuel at the higher speeds.

Good Luck,

John

No Schrader valve on an '84. My informants tell me the best way to measure fuel pressure is to bypass the fuel filter and add a T fitting to attach to a fuel pressure gauge.

Adding a "T" doesn't make it easy to attach the typical FP gauge which screws onto the valve.

You need a gauge that has provisions other than a threaded schrader fitting. Since CFI is such LOW pressure, you can use a carb FP gauge, or even some vacuum/pressure gauges work. Spec is 9-13, you want 13, and it should never waiver or change, regardless of load or engine RPM.
