My new-to-me C4 coupe has an area on the driver's seat where the color has worn off. Looks like someone repeatedly slid down the seat to get in. I've been looking at various products to restore leather color and my head is spinning. So, thinks I, let's ask the experts for advice. Are there any good products that can restore the black? Well enough so it won't wear off? Thanks in advance!

Kiwi black show polish will make it as good as new. My passenger's seat had a few scuffs in it that looked horrible. All gone now. Just make sure you remove ALL of the excess before anybody sits on that seat after you do this, to make sure none comes off on their clothes.
New to the forum as a member. Just got my 95 Yvette in April. I too looked at numerous sites for seat dye in black. Found one members mention of kiwi black shoe dye ( not polish). For $4.95 a bottle at wally mart. Coated the worn areas and the rest of the seat to a nice shiney black. Did the damp cloth test after several hours and nothing came off on to the cloth. Very happy with my 5 dollar restoration. Tom

Magic Mender leather color dye is a disaster. Used this a while back and to this day whenever the seat gets hot and my back sweats it turns my shirt red...

Thanks for the tip. Will avoid it like the plague.
