I ordered the 91 service manuals from Helm for $90.00. They sent me a Shop manual ST36491 and a Supplement ST36491SB. The manual is a big red book but the supplement is just a thin pamflet. Shouldn't I have gotten two big red books?
I think you got the right manual. If memory serves me, the 91 had the thick red book which covered everything. For 1990, they had the thick red book which covered everything except Electrical. A second thinner book covered the electrical. I believe 1991 was the year they changed to a single book for everything.
You will find that manual invaluable in troubleshooting and working on your 'Vette.
POP: Is the electrical manual the thiner red book that I'm missing? I was looking in the for sale section but didn't see any 91 Manuals. Did you have them listed?
Yes, there are two red books and a white update. The thinner one is the electrical manual. Can you still send yours back?? Mine are listed in parts for sale.
POP CHEVY & CARTER2000: I got the manual several weeks ago. I doubt they will let me return it. The thin red manual is the electrical manual I'm missing. Would either of you be interested in breaking up your set?
I'd really like to sell the set complete but maybe Pop will. Thanks for the acknowledgement anyways :seeya Mine really are for sale at a killer price. :yesnod:
Update: I just got off the phone with Helm and they are going to send me the Electrical manual free of charge. Don't know what happened but I'm suppose to get it in a week. :) Must have been some kind of screw up. Thankx for the responces everyone.
