I just got back from the Corvette gathering. Close to 1/2 mile of Vettes parked side by side on both sides of the street. They said attendance was down this year because of the bad weather yesterday. 400-500 cars is normal.

so I don't think it was the weather. -- in fact last year it rained around 2pm. Not sure this venue will survive if they keep it in September.

I'm still here at the Gathering -- going home through Hocking Hills tomorrow. I figured the crowd was down because of the idiotic decision to move the date from mid-July last year to mid September this year. Weather was Sunny and clear today
so I don't think it was the weather. -- in fact last year it rained around 2pm. Not sure this venue will survive if they keep it in September.

We had a little gathering here last Saturday, 13th annual "Vettes at the Beach". While not as big as the northern shows we set a record with 260 registered, about 2 dozen club member cars and 30 to 40 that parked outside the show area. Rain stopped about an hour before the show or we probably would have had more.
