My 1985 sometimes won't start right away if the temperature is above 200.I replaced the starter and that didn't fix the problem. I've been told that they run that temp normally. Any suggestions for me

Yes, 200 is quite normal. Why did you replace the starter? Does the heat make it crank slowly, or not at all?

Check the coil when going bad they don't like to start hot.

does it have a fuseable link by the battery? Or a power block by it?
Is it trying to turn over or clicking?

It's not the battery. It is a heat condition near that starter someplace. Check everything, and I mean everything, near the exhaust and by the starter.
